Developing an International Selling Strategy with Brock Dickinson

Join us for a lunch and learn with Brock Dickinson to learn about some of the simple, cost-effective ways to reach into and develop US markets. We will also discuss some of the support structures and programs that can help you along the way.
Brock is currently an Adjunct Professor & Entrepreneur in Residence at University of Waterloo and was the founder and CEO of MDB Insight, a management consulting firm specializing in economic development. Launched in 2007, MDB Insight became a Profit Hot 50 company in 2010, and the largest firm in its space in Canada. As Brock began to look to expand internationally, he discovered that much of the support for export development focused on manufacturing and the export of physical products.
MDB had to learn to “bootstrap” its way into international markets, beginning with the United States, but eventually working in a range of jurisdictions including Russia, the Ukraine, Finland, Denmark, the UK and Ecuador. By the time Brock sold his stake in the company in 2017, about 20% of MDB’s annual revenues were coming from international markets.
